RETREAT & COMMUNAL FACILITIES
OPEN AIR DINING
The open-air dining area is one of the natural gathering places at Peace Retreat. Designed around shared meals and large communal tables, it creates space for guests to come together throughout their stay—not simply to eat, but to connect, exchange stories, and experience the sense of community that is central to retreat life.
Open to the surrounding tropical environment, the space reflects a simple philosophy: the moments between the scheduled experiences can be just as meaningful as the experiences themselves.
THE STUDIO
The Studio is Peace Retreat's largest dedicated indoor practice and gathering space, offering flexibility for yoga, movement, workshops, teaching sessions, group conversations, and other facilitated experiences.
Its purpose is simple: to give hosts a versatile environment they can shape around their own program. Peace Retreat creates the space; each host determines what becomes possible within it.

THE SHALA
The open-air Shala offers a more intimate environment for yoga, meditation, movement, workshops, and small-group experiences.
Surrounded by the natural environment, the Shala allows practice to remain connected to the sounds, air, and landscape of Costa Rica. It provides a distinctly different experience from the Studio and gives hosts greater flexibility in how and where their programs unfold.
Approximately 540 sq. ft. / 50 m²
MALOKA
Built from teak and caña brava, the open-air Maloka provides an intimate natural setting for ceremony, meditation, sound, circle, reflection, and small-group gatherings.
The space was created for experiences that benefit from a quieter, more contained environment—a place where people can gather with intention while remaining connected to the surrounding landscape.
Please remove the existing reference to traditional Indigenous structures and the reference to the Maloka being a newer addition. Neither is necessary to communicate the value or purpose of the space.
Approximately 500 sq. ft. / 46 m²
BODY AT PEACE SPA
Body at Peace Spa provides an established ancillary revenue stream, with four dedicated treatment spaces, a relaxation area, and full bathroom and shower facilities. A developed menu of massage, bodywork, and wellness treatments is available to both retreat guests and the general public.
Integrated into the retreat experience while also serving the surrounding community, the spa creates opportunities to increase per-guest revenue and generate business independent of retreat occupancy. With dedicated infrastructure and an established wellness menu already in place, it offers significant potential for increased utilization, expanded programming, and revenue growth.
